History
|
|
Mother Hubbard's Kiddie Cupboard opened in November of 1994. There was a noticed need in the community for some action to be taken to help the population of young mothers and their children. Joanne Schamberger, Becky Solt, and Karen Toepfer are the three people who originally developed the concept for the program. The purpose of the program from the beginning was to help young mothers to learn to be responsible parents. In 1995 our achievements were recognize and we were elated to receive first place honors in the annual Governor's Hometown Awards.
